Georgia Power

Georgia Power is an electric utility headquartered in downtown Atlanta, serving more than 2.4 million customers in all but four of Georgia’s 159 counties. It employs approximately 9,000 workers throughout the state. Georgia Power has invested $5 billion to reduce emissions and improve air quality. They're truly committed to finding new technologies that will improve water quality from and around power plants, while also conserving water through “My Drop Counts.” My Drop Counts is a business campaign that provides a way for corporations, governments, academic institutions and non-profits to take a leading role in protecting the Atlanta region’s water supply through cycles of drought – now and into the future. The three hives sponsored by Georgia Power will be placed in the courtyard in front of their building, so the bees can enjoy the gorgeous cherry trees.
