PARTNERING WITH BEE DOWNTOWN
Each partner hive has a story to tell.
“When Spring hits, I think of bees and honey. And of course, Bee Downtown. We’re thankful to be part of what Leigh-Kathryn Bonner and her band of bee-keepers are doing for bees and local communities.”

“Delta employees LOVE LOVE LOVE our Delta honeybees. Every time we have a hive tour, it fills up almost immediately. We recently harvested our honey in the employee cafeteria, and the tables were swamped with people wanting to try the honey and to help with the harvest.”

“Bees are essential to life on earth. They’ve had quite a plight over the last couple of decades with pesticides and agriculture contributing to something called colony collapse disorder. Anything we can do to bring more bees into the world, more pollinators, more things to make the environment more healthy and friendly, we want to be a part of.”

“We love our bees, and whether they know it or not, they love us back.”
Bandwidth tells the story of a hive… actually, three hives in an apiary on the Centennial Campus of North Carolina State University.
“We originally invested in the bees for the honey, the hive tours and most importantly the cause. But what we never expected was the bees to become a powerful symbol of our culture.
Now, we mention the bees in orientation, we constantly use them in our media, we identify with their mission-first culture and we track their health and honey production throughout the year. During harvest season, we put the honey in our break rooms, create gifts for our guests and clients, and sell the honey during fundraisers.12oz bottles have sold for hundreds of dollars!”
